Our rockhounds go on several trips each year to great rock and mineral hunting grounds! These trips are fun for the whole family and are not only entertaining,
but full of learning opportunities as well. Below are some pictures from a few
of the GTARMC's field trips from recent years.
Field Trips
A big part of being a rockhound is sharing our hobby and crafts with others!
GTARMC members participate in numerous rock and mineral shows every year where they showcase their skills and help spread interest and knowledge about rocks
and minerals. Our biggest event is the club show held the last weekend of September at the Grand Traverse Heritage Center. Vendor booths, demonstrations and a kid's table are featured.
